My design process starts with researching my users and my competitors. I use interviews and ethnographies to understand my user's behaviors, motivations, and pain points. I research the major competitors in the market to find opportunities to provide a better user experience.

I brainstorm design solutions by creating journey maps and user stories to get an overview of the user-product interaction. I use these to explore UI wireframes with a design-solution mindset that target the key moments and pain points in the user experience.

I create prototypes to test key user task flows and experiences. My prototypes vary from hand-drawn sketches for rapid testing to polished interface using Balsamiq, Axure and HTML5/CSS3.

I get user feedback throughout the design process. I test early and often to find and correct design problems as soon as possible and validate my designs with my users. I tailor my evaluations to target specific usability problems while staying within budget and on time.
